Location: Bloomington, MN (USA)
Seven acres of development under skylights at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesotta At the time of it's construction it was the largest indoor planting in the world and had 17 rides and attractions including a roller coaster and a flume ride.
Welcoming the people as they arrived was a large inflatable Snoopy that housed a childrens bounce attraction. As the children bounced up and down Snoopy waved to the visitors as they arrived.
A night shot of the interior space. Showing the ride activity and tivioli style lighting on all the buildings and attractions.
A rendering of Camp Snoopy which was the center piece of Mall of America. The development used Camp Snoopy the same way that New York uses Central Park as an area of relief and release from the shopping experience. Giving the visiotrs renewed energy to continue shopping later.
Camp Snoopy is a multi-level experience as illustrated in this photo with an arcade and games below and a sports bar restaurant above.
Camp Snoopy was unique in that it integrated both food and shopping with the ride and entertainment experience so visitors going there experience a typical theme park experience versus.
Inside of the retail space that featured Mrs.Knotts jams and jellies.
Camp Snoopy featured an urban ride experience but was set in a natural place. The stream that you are viewing is inside a four million square foot building.
