Knott's Berry Farm : Jaguar Coaster
This was a specifically designed roller coaster geared towards the family market with young children. Designed without inversions or flipovers. The thrill of the ride is found in the dives and swoops over buildings, under trees and over a lake. The roller coaster was an anchor to a themed area within Knott's Berry Farm surrounding area development and game buildings and theater performance areas were all dressed in mayan architecture overlay.
An exterior shot of the queue building. Over 60' high, was designed so that the roller coaster would go through the upper part of the temple where sacrifices were often done and there would be eruptions of fire coming out of the central tower piece.
A detail over the center plaza.
The plaza itself is a maze of a snake body that leads you into a center fountain that is an interactive waterfountain sculptuer that is coin activated. The water cannons hit the targets and as they fill up will dump water and activate other sections of the fountain. On either side of the plaza there are game buildings themed to Mayan style architecture.
